Forager Vanilla Cashewgurt: This non-dairy yogurt made with cashew milk had a much thinner consistency than regular yogurt. It’s almost like a non-cream-based soup in terms of viscosity. Texture aside, the flavor is decent, but not particularly memorable. You might even say it was a bit vanilla. 3.0/5.0

Nature’s Path Fruit juice corn flakes: Fruit juice-enhanced corn flakes was completely unknown to me until I purchased this box from Nature’s Path. They taste like normal corn flakes at first (though thicker and thus less crispy than something like Kellogg’s Corn Flakes) but have a faintly sweet aftertaste that isn’t necessarily identifiable as pear (the juice used in this product) but has a vague almost apple like taste. It’s not a flavor I particularly enjoyed nor disliked and as a result can’t imagine purchasing again. 3.0/5.0

Noosa Blood orange whole milk yogurt: I like blood oranges but most blood orange flavored snacks tend to remind me of artificial orange candy. This Noosa yogurt was not one of my favorites, with an orange sherbet taste that is overly sweet. The yogurt by itself is good quality though - rich and creamy. 3.0/5.0

Berkeley Bowl Bar snack mix: The Berkeley Bowl bulk snack mixes are generally good, but this standard bar mix with cheddar crackers, pretzels, peanuts, and almonds is not really better than the sum of its ingredients. None of the flavors compete, but it’s not particularly interesting, and there are much better alternatives. 3.0/5.0

Indian Life Masala Chips: Purchased on sale at Berkeley Bowl, this Canadian brand of Indian-spiced chips are flavored with a generous helping of garlic and cumin, as well as proprietary spice blend. They appear to be deep fried and are more flaky than crunchy. While the label suggests eating with your favorite dip, I have a hard time imagining how the chips could hold much of any sauce given how easily they fall apart. The flavor itself is pretty decent and a fresh offering to the snack aisle, but they are quite m... (read more) 2.5/5.0

Fuller Foods Seriously Cheesy Puffs Sriracha flavored baked cheese puffs: Hand crafted artisanal cheese puffs made in Portland, Oregon. Sounds like a Portlandia sketch, but true story. The cheese puffs are thinner and longer than typical cheese puffs, like 1.5x the volume of a Cheetos puff. Sriracha flavored puffs have a dark red orange coating. Spicy flavor builds up quickly. Lacks the familiar sweetness of Sriracha, and tastes less like the Asian hot sauce and more like a stronger western one. Texture is very good - crispy yet airy, but flavor is quite frankly s...
