Happy Lemon Lemon pineapple slush : I almost always get ~25% sugar when it’s an option. But I somehow forgot this time, and the pineapple slush was too sweet. Besides that, though, the pineapple had a lackluster canned concentrate taste. There are much better options at this normally reliable juice shop. 2.5/5.0

Il laboratorio del gelato Plum and grape sorbet: Whenever I'm in LES, I can't help but stop by this outstanding gelato shop, with its endless array of cycling seasonal flavors. The plum and grape were super concentrated, tasting exactly like those ingredients in their freshest form. The texture could have been better (this time, the grape was a bit icy); nonetheless, I've never had anything but solid fresh sorbet from this NYC mainstay. 4.0/5.0

Seed + Mill Tahini Goats Milk Softserve: Mildly flavored nutty soft serve from Seed + Mill, a small stand in the middle of Chelsea Market. Goats milk gives it a slight tang. A unique offering. Just a tad icy. 4.0/5.0

Mr. Wish Kiwi slush with lychee jelly: My mouth was burning after consuming an abnormally spicy bowl of noodle soup at the New World Mall. Despite the numerous bubble tea stands to choose from at the basement food court, I opted to go across the street to Mr. Wish, a cash-only tea shop that has especially good fruit slushies. Pineapple Express Pineapple soft serve: Right in the middle of the ultra-touristy (and, thus, overly-stressful) Chelsea Market is a little oasis in the form of Pineapple Express, a stand/hut wrapped in bamboo sticks and straw trim, decorated with hanging pineapple-shaped Christmas lights. Here, they serve a variety of tropical treats, from fresh coconut juice to full-on ice cream sundaes.
