Bottega Italiana Pear and Grapefruit Mint Sorbet: Bottega Italiana is a little ice cream shop about a five minute walk from Pike Place. After a filling dinner of fried fish and chips from Ivar's, I wanted a sharp fruit sorbet and opted for one scoop with two flavors: a white pear sorbet, sweet and concentrated, and a grapefruit mint, which had a terrific acidity and refreshing, balanced amount of mint. Doraemon Cafe Grapefruit and peach cream soda: I had planned to go to the “Doraemon” museum from before I came to Japan (technically the Fujiko Fujio museum, the artist who created Doraemon) since the robot cat is a favorite from my childhood. Drop the Mic Ice Cream: Chikalicious is my favorite dessert bar, and I highly recommend it if you haven't been before. They recently launched an ice cream menu at the bar when it had normally been closed M-W. East Imperial Grapefruit Soda: This small batch soda comes in an equally small mixer-sized 5 fl oz container, which is just a tad less than a bottle of Q soda or Fever Tree. Using ingredients from Asia and produced in New Zealand, the soda uses all natural ingredients and has a concentrated citrus flavor that tastes of pure grapefruit. Happy Lemon grapefruit slush: A sweet but entirely refreshing drink. Has bits of what seems to be mango pudding throughout. Tropical citrus flavor. Have yet to have anything disappointing at this reliable spot in Flushing. 4.0/5.0
