N'ice Cream watermelon and mango sorbet: Located on Abbot Kinney in Venice, LA, this small shop offers an assortment of ice creams and sorbets. For a small, priced at $5, I was given two substantial scoops, both of very high quality. I was most impressed with the texture, which was perfectly smooth. The mango flavor was a bit faint but very clean, and the watermelon was especially distinct: a remarkably creamy take on a seasonal classic. Highly recommended. 4.0/5.0

Strangelove ginger beer: Organic ginger soda from Australia that reminds me of Reeds in terms of potency but is more well rounded with notes of cinnamon and lemon. Shake Shack black and white malted milk shake: A thick, rich milkshake made of high quality vanilla and chocolate ice cream. I love malted milkshakes, and the extra $0.50 for malted is definitely worth it. Needs to be paired with a tall glass of water. Definitely not for the faint of heart but a treat once in a while (it's about 1/3 of your daily calories). 4.0/5.0

Trader Joe's nonfat plain Greek yogurt: Of all the store branded Greek yogurt I've tried, TJ's is the best value. The yogurt is thick with a neutral flavor that is a great base for any fruit or toppings you care to add. 4.0/5.0

Goldberg & Sons bitter lemon soda: Meant to be used a mixer, this soda is refreshing all on its own, with a clear acidic lemon flavor that's just sweet enough. The best part is the carbonation, which is the ideal strength and has more refined, smaller bubbles than typical seltzers. 4.0/5.0

Happy Lemon special cooler lemon slush: I'm not sure what special cooler means, but this Taiwanese drink chain continues to be one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Flushing, Queens. This slush was on the sweet side but was also pleasantly tart and contained what seemed to be jelly bits (I didn't pay for any add-ins, so this was a pleasant surprise). Perfect for warm days. 4.0/5.0
