Lemon Ice King of Corona Rainbow Ice: Practically a landmark in Corona, Queens, Lemon Ice King has been serving house-made Italian ices for over 60 years. G.L. Alfieri strawberry almond milk: I'm a fan of almond milk and had never had a strawberry-flavored one before, so this sample-sized bottle from G.L. Alfieri in the Ferry Building peaked my interest. Despite the questionable pepto-pink color, the drink was unexpectedly light, with a clean creamy strawberry flavor and slight nutty finish. The sweetness was just enough to trigger strawberry milk nostalgia while still feeling like a responsible, healthy adult. 4.0/5.0

Berkeley Bowl wasabi snack mix: An incredible value, at a little over $4 for 1 lb, this bulk rice cracker mix has all of the classics: unforgivably spicy wasabi peas, varied shaped (stars, squares, and more) crunchy glazed rice crackers, and nori-covered pieces. I do wish there was a sweet cracker thrown into the mix, but really, there is little to find fault with. 4.0/5.0

Saffron Road garlic parmesan lentil chips: An extremely addicting veggie chip snack with a savory cheese coating. Chips have great texture and are crunchy and light. Only downside is the small 4-portion bag size. Looking forward to trying other flavors. Purchased from Whole Foods. 4.0/5.0
