Lake Champlain Caramel Five Star bar: These "snack" bars always seem to be at the check out at Whole Foods. I'm not one to purchase chocolate on my own, but I received one for participating in a research study at my lab. Inside the fairly thick milk chocolate shell is a very sweet honey caramel mixed with nuts. Annie's organic cheddar squares: I'm generally a fan of Annie's bunny crackers, and these more traditional square are maybe the last of their brand I haven't tried. Unfortunately, I found that the crackers lacked seasoning and consistently tasted over baked. The under seasoning is surprising since I tend to like very lightly seasoned foods, so those used to over salted crackers like Cheez-Its will definitely consider these a miss. Hint crisp apple water: Those bubbles on the packaging are just from the impact of the fruit falling into the water, not because the drink is carbonated (which I had wrongly assumed). This unsweetened drink has no artificial ingredients, but the flavor somehow reminds me of green apple flavored blowpops. Perhaps it's because green apples never taste quite as sweet as they do in this drink. 2.0/5.0

Vidal creepy gummi: In my latest munchpak, I received this Halloween-themed candy, and I'm happy to report it is the only piece of candy I had on the holiday. The gummy had a bit of a cherry jello flavor and was more gelatinous (and less set) than most gummy candies. Not a candy I would ever purchase on my own. 2.0/5.0

Meiji Pucca: Fish-shaped biscuits filled with milk chocolate. The most obvious comparison would be to Lotte's koala cookies, which I find to be better overall; the Pucca cookies don't have much flavor, and they lack the charm of the uniquely printed koala snacks. 2.0/5.0
