Kind Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachhio bar: Kind bars have a consistent quality - once you’ve had one, you know what you’re getting yourself into. Here, we have a mix of crunchy whole pistachio and almonds with dried fruit, all bonded together with a sticky glaze and several types of grains for texture. It was a bit hard to bite into (more crunchy than chewy), which made me a little nervous for my teeth. Overall, decent but doesn’t quite pass the threshold for recommended. 3.0/5.0

Pepperidge Farm Apricot Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies: I haven't had Pepperidge Farm cookies in years but had a sudden carving for fruit-jam cookies and purchased these Apricot Raspberry thumbprint cookies from Safeway. They were surprisingly good, with a buttery and slightly crumbly cookie base and just enough fruity sweetness. The interior had a slightly chewy consistency, which worked well texturally with the biscuit. At about 1.5" in diameter, and with 3 cookies per serving, they were satiating too. Wild California Mango Jalapeño Crisps: Purchased from Monterey Market in Berkeley, these fruit crisps are a great snack in many ways. They’re sliced just right so that they’re crunchy but not hard to bite into, and the amount of spicy heat is surprisingly potent but well balanced with the sweetness of dried mango. While crisps like these tend to be paired with cheese or dip, I found them to be satisfying all on their own. 4.0/5.0

Wallaby Organic Orange passion fruit yogurt: This citrus yogurt from Wallaby is one of the better flavors I’ve had from this American brand pretending to be an Australian brand. Australian style is essentially looser than most other yogurt, almost verging on kefir. Orange and passion fruit are not commonly seen together but maybe it should be. 3.0/5.0

Morgenstern’s Passion fruit sorbet with chocolate magic shell: Last few days to get Morgenstern’s October Sorbae: passion fruit sorbet covered with their homemade chocolate “magic shell.” The sorbet didn’t need the chocolate at all, in my opinion, as the passion fruit is sharp and fresh on its own. 3.5/5.0
