Berkeley Bowl Organic Gravenstein Apple Sauce: During the weeks leading up to thanksgiving, these jars of apple sauce were prominently displayed at the entrance of Berkeley Bowl. The apple sauce is sweet and textured with a nice amount of autumn spices. My one of the best apple sauces I've had, but a good value. 3.0/5.0

Bob's Red Mill Fruit & Seed Muesli: I am a recent museli convert, enjoying their versatility to be transformed into a warm bowl of cereal or chilled overnight oats. This particular "European Style" flavor has dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, cherries), sunflower and pumpkin seeds, almonds, and coconut flakes, along with several types of grains and oats. A single bag has two weeks worth of servings. A healthy and tasty breakfast option. 3.5/5.0

Bottega Italiana Pear and Grapefruit Mint Sorbet: Bottega Italiana is a little ice cream shop about a five minute walk from Pike Place. After a filling dinner of fried fish and chips from Ivar's, I wanted a sharp fruit sorbet and opted for one scoop with two flavors: a white pear sorbet, sweet and concentrated, and a grapefruit mint, which had a terrific acidity and refreshing, balanced amount of mint. Brothers Freeze-dried fruit crisps Fuji apples with cinnamon: Freeze dried fruit is a modern-day convenience, a space-age snack that has trickled down to everyday consumption. I find that certain types of fruit benefit from the resulting crispy and brittle texture more than others; soft berries seem to lose their sweetness while their tartness levels receive a boost, but fruits like mangoes are transformed into portable, snackable spears with a condensed tropical flavor. Bruce Cost Passion Fruit ginger soda: Brooklyn-based Bruce Cost offers some of the better ginger sodas more widely available (at Whole Foods, for example). Their passion fruit soda is unique, providing a sharp tropical flavor combination. Like others in their line, the Soda has ginger sediments on the bottom that give texture and spice. 3.5/5.0

Calbee Frugra fruit granola cereal: This is a Japanese cereal that contains dried strawberries, raisins, granola, almonds, and pumpkin seeds. The strawberries give it a pretty prominent sour flavor. Fairly standard as far as granola goes otherwise. 2.5/5.0
