Bart's homemade ginger ice cream: Locally made ice cream from Massachusetts that incorporates chopped ginger from Old Friends Farm in Amherst. The ginger flavor and texture is quite good and fresh, but the ice cream overall is very sweet. Good for just a few scoops. 3.5/5.0

Beanitos Better cheddar and sour cream pinto bean chips: High fiber + protein tortilla chips made of bean (instead of corn). They have a more crumbly texture than your typical chip and a stronger flavor. Together, with cheddar and sour cream, I expected it to taste like a bean dip, but it was strangely muddled and unbalanced. Do not recommend. 2.5/5.0

Beard Papa Strawberry Cream Puff with Vanilla Cream: As far as I know, the Westfield mall in SF is a no-mans land as far as snackable foods go. Beard Papa's matcha cream puff: The Japanese cream puff chain Beard Papa's has made it to Boston, with a shop in the heart of Chinatown. I purchased a green-tea flavored puff, which was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. The puff oozed cream, but the flavor was very light. So light there was basically no discernible green tea flavor. The color is the only indication of its supposed flavoring. Overall, it was not bad for a cream puff, but disappointing as a matcha dessert. 2.5/5.0

Ben and Jerry's S'mores ice cream: Chocolate ice cream with marshmallow, fudge chunks, and graham cracker 'swirls.' Chocolate masks any other flavor unfortunately, particularly with the added chocolate bits. Good quality chocolate ice cream, though 3.0/5.0
