Bang Bang Ice Cream Avocado and Matcha ice cream: Redolent of butter and baked goods, Bang Bang Ice Cream is a small shop specializing in ice cream sandwiches and waffle cones all made in house. I was lucky enough to experience Bang Bang without having to wait in line, a rarity I'm told. I ordered one scoop, without a cookie or cone, combining two flavors: avocado and matcha. Both were excellent, with a distinct creaminess without being heavy or dense. Having had a lot of matcha ice cream, I was especially appreciative of the deep, rich herbal flavor of their green tea scoop. The avocado was similarly outstanding, tasting exactly as fresh as the ones we enjoy in California. I would happily give a 5.0 flavor wise, but there was a small chunk of ice in both scoops, so I'm docking half a point for texture. Still, this is a destination that is worthy of its regular lines. If I lived in Toronto, I would no doubt frequent this establishment to try all of their flavors (it was hard to narrow it down to two), but as a visitor, I'll just have to anxiously wait for the next time I get a chance to visit Toronto. 4.5/5.0
