Yes Chips shrimp dressed in garlic: To be honest, the main reason I bought this snack was the ridiculousness of a shrimp wearing a head of garlic. Packaging aside, the chips themselves have a styrofoam-like texture, not unlike airy shrimp chips that were given to non-Asian diners in Chinese restaurants in the 90s. Still, the seafood flavor is actually quite good, and the garlic doesn't leave a strong aftertaste. The chips melt in your mouth (from all of the saturated fat, I'm sure). 3.5/5.0

Ocean's Halo Korean BBQ seaweed chips: The first thing I noticed upon opening this package was its scent, which is eerily similar to fish food. Scent aside, the taste is almost exactly as you would expect fish food to taste. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing; these words are coming from someone who grew up eating various seafood snacks liked dried squid and eel which might make western palates squeamish. But the flavor is not bad-the purple chips are crunchy and thin, and the Korean bbq comes through with a familiar sweet a... (read more) 3.5/5.0

PopCorners Cheesy Jalapeño Chips: I've generally been a fan of Pop Corners, a mainstream popcorn chip brand whose products are flavorful without being over-seasoned. After stumbling across the jalapeñ cheddar flavor for the first time, I decided to give it a try. With the first chip, I thought the heat level was quite weak, but the jalapeñ sneaks up on you after several more. The flavor is kind of junk-food-like but in a satisfyingly healthy way, as you know you're eating popcorn and not some deep fried potato chip. I went t... (read more) 3.5/5.0

Lay's Spanish tomato tango chips: These chips were brought back from India, where the flavor names are prefaced by the country with which they're inspired from. The chips were distinct from standard Lay's, with a ridged texture; the flavor can be described as a robust ketchup with underlying spices that give it depth. What they have to do with Spain I have no idea, but overall, this was a surprisingly memorable snack. 3.5/5.0

Trader Joe's Sriracha Potato Chips: Tthick, lattice-cut crisps with an initially sweet flavor that finishes spicy. Familiar sweet chili flavor gets a unique twist. Could use a tad more seasoning. Too bad the serving size is so small at 13 chips. 3.5/5.0

Late July nacho chipotle tortilla chips: I previous found these chips lacking in flavor and scored them a 3.0, but the most recent batch I purchased was notably more robust, with a zesty and slightly spicy kick. Overall, I found it pretty unique for a nacho chip, though the serving size is disappointingly small. 3.5/5.0
