Mikawaya mango mochi ice cream: This brand claims to be the "original and best" Mochi ice cream. Whether it's true or not I cannot say, but the brand has permeated American supermarkets, with chains like Trader Joe's as stockists. It also seems to be the de facto choice for restaurants selling Mochi ice cream they don't make themselves. Luckily, the ice cream is very good. Milk Bar Apple Pie Soft Serve: While I generally find many items at Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar to be overly sweet, one thing that I’ve always loved is their soft serve. The cereal milk soft serve, in particular, is very well judged. This apple pie soft serve, available at the Flagship Milk Bar, is another great example. The tartness is surprisingly great, and the texture is perfectly smooth - more sorbet-like than ice-cream-like. Milton's corn bread crackers: I reviewed this snack back when tastysnacking had no scoring system. The snack now has new branding and tastes quite different than I remember. The crackers are surprisingly buttery and amazingly capture the texture of corn bread while transforming it into a crunchy form. Seasoning is perfect. Very addicting and unique. 4.0/5.0
