Wakabato Iso Hineri rice crackers: Thought I hadn't tasted this particular brand before, these seaweed-flavored rice crackers are a classic Japanese snack. The rice crackers have a braided texture and curled shape, almost like a tentacle, and are coated with a sweet and savory glaze speckled with nori. Addictive and well balanced, these are the rice crackers I most often crave. Purchased from Tokyo Fish Market. 4.0/5.0

Lays Jalapeño kettle cooked potato chips: Surprisingly spicy. Aggressively seasoned and more crunchy than crispy. If you're going to eat an unhealthy snack, it's worth going all in. 4.0/5.0

Barbara's High Fiber Medley: Lands squarely at the intersection of muesli and cereal, with a combination of crunchy flakes, soft oats, and fiber "twigs" that add texture. Sweetened just enough for flavor while still feeling like an appropriately adult cereal. Extremely healthy, with an abundance of fiber and protein. A great start to the day. 4.0/5.0

Regardless, these sources did not clarify what is meant by European-style, but I can say that it's more runny than regular yogurt, yet still fully solid (not watery). The flavor is also pleasantly tart and easily balanced with just ... (read more) 4.0/5.0

Urban Foods Black currant and lemon superfood bites: Dense cubes at the intersection of trail mix and granola bar seem to be on trend this year. This version from Urban Foods is more crunchy than chewy overall, with a satisfying and wholesome blend of textures, from crispy quinoa to soft oats. The berry and citrus combination (dried currants and lemon oil) is unique and delicious. Serving size is small and comes at a price (a 5 serving bag is $5). A snack you feel good about eating. 4.0/5.0

JJ Bakery Peanut Mochi: Generously sized chewy and sweet mochi coated with peanut powder and filled with a sweet, textured peanut paste. Mochi is glistening on the inside. Holds up well in the fridge (I had it a day after it was purchased, and it was still delicious). 4.0/5.0
