Found Watermelon Basil Sparkling Refreshment: Found is a beverage company claiming to create its own category of carbonated fruit drinks; according to its site, it is neither seltzer, soda or tonic, but a "naturally sparkling refreshment." Its marketing also claims that the carbonation exists naturally at its source. I'm not sure how much I buy into their story, but I do think the beverage itself is very good. I like fizzy carbonated water, and this is more carbonated than most bottled products. The watermelon flavor reminds me a bi... (read more) 3.5/5.0

Each pack consists of two mini-spirals of strawberry fruit leather, kind of like a thicker, better quality fruit roll up but packaged on its side. This type of snack is more for taste than anything else, as the portion size is not filling. But as far as fruit leather goes, it's pretty decent. 3.0/5.0

The wheat biscuits are sweetened with coconut milk and have a sugary glaze. Matcha powder seems to have been mixed in to the flour, rather than used as a coating (the cookies are not green). Contains individual serving packs of 5 crackers. Though there is quite a bit of sugar in each serving (22g), I still found the biscuits enjoyable. They taste more like matcha than most matcha-flavored snacks I've had, and the mix of coconut and matcha... (read more) 3.5/5.0

They taste like a cross between shrimp crackers and fried calamari - definitely seafood flavored, but not easily pinpointed to a single type of underwater creature. Cost less than $2 for a bag at Hong Kong Supermarket in Manhattan's Chinatown. Not healthy, but tasty. 3.5/5.0

Apple cider donuts are a seasonal dessert popular in the Northeast, especially at apple orchards. I've never actually had them before, so I was excited to try them, and at 60 cents each, they were wallet friendly. The donuts came in two offerings: coated in sugar, and without coating. I purchased the one without sugar, which I think was the way to go, as it was sweet enough. ... (read more) 3.5/5.0

But I finally made it out to Court St Grocers in Carroll Gardens this weekend. I've been meaning to check out Court St Grocers ever since I tried their excellent soda offerings at BYGGYZ (RIP), my formerly favorite sandwich shop in NYC. Unfortunately, BYGGYZ didn't have all Grocers Bottling Co (a spin-out from Court St... (read more) 4.5/5.0
