Hot Kid Shelly Senbei Seaweed Flavor Rice Cracker: I grew up eating an assortment of Hot Kid rice cracker offerings, which I strongly believe are some of the best in terms of taste and value. This nori-flavored rice snack was new to me and did not disappoint. Each individually wrapped package contains two sizable rice crackers, at about 3.5" in diameter. A soy glaze coats the crackers, and strips of seaweed add to the savory flavor. One aspect I felt was missing was the sweetness you tend to get with other Hot Kid snacks, but I would sti... Arrowhead Mills Gluten Free Maple Buckwheat Flakes: As far as healthy "adult" cereal goes, these buckwheat flakes are some of the best I've had. The maple glaze makes them just sweet enough, and they keep their crunchy consistently longer than any other flakes I know of. I like eating them on their own with milk, though if you wanted more sweetness, I'm sure their recommendation of fresh fruit would do the job as well. While I'm usually skeptical of gluten free foods, these flakes don't seem to be lacking at all. 4.0/5.0

Siggi's Lingonberry & Strawberry skyr yogurt: If you have been following Tasty Snacking for some time, you will know that I am generally a fan of Siggi's yogurt, which is thicker and less sweet than most. I was excited to find a new flavor at Berkeley Bowl: Lingonberry & Strawberry. Like other flavors, the fruit is pre-mixed into the yogurt and gives the yogurt a slightly purplish-pink hue. The tartness from the lingonberries is a nice pairing for the sweet strawberry. A fresh take on mixed berry yogurt. Note: I have found this at ... (read more) 4.0/5.0

Share Tea Mango green tea with lychee jelly: After attending an event in Palo Alto, I wanted to get a caffeinated beverage for my drive back to the East Bay. I found myself at Share Tea, whose Berkeley branch I had just tried several days before. This time, I opted for a fruit tea and ordered their mango green tea at 30% sweetness with lychee jelly. Even at 30%, I still found the tea to be too sweet, though it did have a nice herbal flavor that came through. I also liked the lychee jelly, which had a good amount of firmness. The m... Bernie's Best Organic Autumn's Best Apple Cider: I live very close to Cheeseboard in Berkeley and hadn't had their pizza since I moved in. On a whim back from running errands, and noticing there was a shorter line than normal, I stopped by this popular spot to re-taste the pizza I found exceptional five years earlier. To accompany the pizza, I grabbed an apple cider I hadn't seen before from their drinks fridge: Bernie's Best. The drink lists no nutrition facts, only that the cider is made fresh with apples from Pomo Tierra Orchards in Yo... (read more) 5.0/5.0

Primizie Gouda and garlic crispbreads: This product occupies a new snack space for me, with chips falling somewhere between a tortilla chip and a pita chip in terms of thickness and texture. In many ways, it's the best of both worlds, as it's both crisp and hearty. Flavorwise, garlic is prominent, verging on uncomfortable to speak to others after eating. Gouda adds a unique taste that you don't often find in the snack aisle. 3.5/5.0
