Lesser Evil Buddha Bowl Himalayan Pink organic popcorn: This sizable bag of popcorn is probably the largest volume 100-calorie snack I've had. The popcorn is popped in coconut oil, giving it a distinctly creamy flavor (but don't worry, it's not dessert-like). Seasoning is just right. It wasn't worth the $4 I paid on my flight, but I was hungry and am glad that I got it – ultimately, it sustained me through the last 4 hours of my flight. A high quality product. 3.5/5.0

Toscanini Green Tea and Miso Soft Serve: As an end of summer treat, I found myself at Toscanini's realizing I had never had their soft-serve before. Luckily, they had an intriguing offering of green tea swirled with miso (you can order them separately if you desire). The texture of the ice cream was excellent: smooth, creamy, and very consistent. The flavors themselves were pleasant but seemed to be designed for a more neutral palate – the matcha is more sweet than herbal, and the miso tastes like sesame but does not have a dist... Open Nature Sweet Onion and Sour Cream Pita Chips: Made of all natural ingredients, these pita chips have a satisfying crunch (though they are messy to eat) and taste much sweeter than your typical sour cream and onion flavored snack. Reminiscent of a caramelized onions. Filling and generally satisfying. 3.0/5.0

Lucerne String Cheese: This economical snack is surprisingly tasty. The cheese is much stringier than most competitive brands, and the flavor is satisfying (but a tad salty). Good budget option. 3.5/5.0

Neighborhood Restaurant Cream of Wheat: This hot, iconic dish from the popular Somerville brunch spot is great even in the summer heat. When I first had it five years ago upon returning to Boston for grad school, it turned me on to making Cream of Wheat at home, though I could never quite get the consistency and flavor that they are able to accomplish. It's creamy and spiced with a texture almost similar to tapioca pudding but with much smaller granules. I will forever associate this dish with Cambridge and will sorely miss it. 4.0/5.0

Berryline Watermelon Froyo with Mochi: Watermelon and yogurt aren't two flavors I've imagined together, but Berryline expertly marries them into a wonderfully refreshing summer treat. Slightly tart but just sweet enough, the seasonal flavor is subtly impactful. The homemade mochi is good too, with a chewier consistency than the larger chains. 4.0/5.0
