Larabar Cashew Cooki Bar: Containing two ingredients (dates and cashews) this minimalist bar had a soft texture somewhere between a cookie and an energy bar. I found the flavor to be off, not because it was either too sweet or savory, since the flavors together simply did not taste particularly good. This is the first time I’ve had a Larabar, and given the experience, probably the last. 2.0/5.0

Mariani Sweet BBQ California Almonds: I'm not usually a nut person, but I heard because of their high protein content, they are more filling than other snacks. I decided to buy a bag of almonds to bring to work and see how effective they were for combatting post-lunch hunger. This particular flavor of almonds has a tasty smoky-sweet combination reminiscent of bbq chips. Meisum Bakery peanut bun: Generous mochi dessert coated with coconut shavings and sweet peanut filling. The mochi itself is plump and soft, barely sweetened, while the peanut filling is slightly crunchy, lending a surprising texture. Overall, a very satisfying (and cheap!) snack. 4.0/5.0

Organic Farm roasted chestnuts: I purchased two packs of roasted chestnuts from Hmart during a 2 for $3 sale. The last bag [https://instagram.com/p/7DXauqFIe7/] was unfavorably reviewed, mostly due to its slimy texture. This snacks veers in the opposite direction, with chestnuts that are on the dry side. Eaten with water, though, the chestnuts have superior flavor than the Haioreum bag, with a deeper, earthier flavor. Both bags list a single serving, but I found the bags really served at least 2. 2.5/5.0
