Bernie's Best Gravenstein apple cider: The last time I was a Cheeseboard, I purchased an excellent bottle of Autumn Blend apple cider from Bernie's Best. This time, I opted for the only other flavor available at the pizzeria: Gravenstein apple. Unfortunately, this flavor lacked the depth achieved in the Autumn Blend and altogether tasted pretty typical for a decent store-bought apple cider. Not bad by any means, but also not worth going out of the way for. 3.0/5.0

They taste like normal corn flakes at first (though thicker and thus less crispy than something like Kellogg’s Corn Flakes) but have a faintly sweet aftertaste that isn’t necessarily identifiable as pear (the juice used in this product) but has a vague almost apple like taste. It’s not a flavor I particularly enjoyed nor disliked and as a result can’t imagine purchasing again. 3.0/5.0

It probably falls about 65% in terms of potency, which is to say above average, but not as gingery as I personally like (though I like very gingery drinks) - more spiced than spicy. I wouldn't have guessed that it contained carrot juice if I had not seen its color. Overall, for a four-serving container costing $5, it was pretty good, but not worth purchasing again. 3.0/5.0

The juice was pretty pricy, at $6, and tasted strongly of sweet pineapple. It had an ice cube in a shape of a round Pikachu head and contained pop-rocks so that it literally crackles. I like the creativity of the drink and think it's fitting for the game; it was too sweet for me to ever want to have again, though, and was priced for tourism. 3.0/5.0

It comes in a plastic bottle as opposed to a can. I like this one less than the other as the jelly is not carbonated, so the overall taste is not as unique. It's essentially a grape juice for kids that contains jelly that you break up by shaking the bottle. One benefit the plastic bottle has over the can, though, is that you can reclose and shake the bottle some more in the case that the jelly doesn't break up evenly. 3.0/5.0
