Happy Lemon Yakult Lemon Slushy: I returned to the Happy Lemon in Boston (located in the Arcade Mall in Downtown Crossing) and ordered a Yakult Lemon Slushy drink this time. Yakult is a popular Japanese yogurt drink that comes in cute plastic containers. The texture of the slush was good but melted quickly in the summer heat. The boba was much improved from my first visit, with a good amount of give. Overall, the drink was on the sweet side but balanced out by the acidity of the lemon drink. 3.0/5.0

Mr. Wish Special Fruit Tea: Mr. Wish is an Asian drink chain that serves fruit teas and slushies. I ordered their special fruit tea, which had a substantial amount of diced fruit, including passion fruit seeds, apples, and mango. The drink itself was far too sweet, and the fruit was overly acidic and sour. However, I will say that the avocado slush my partner ordered was excellent, so I would come back again for a different drink. 2.0/5.0

Shake Shack Root Beer Float: I'm a fan of Abita root beer, which is on tap at Shake Shack, so I was curious about their Root Beer float. The one size is very substantial and comes in a tall container with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The quality of the ice cream and soda were both good, and together, they tasted exactly like what you would expect a solid root beer float would taste like. Califa Farm Chocolate Protein Almondmilk: Once in while, I get a craving for chocolate milk, and this single-serving beverage was the perfect amount to satisfy my latest craving. As a non-dairy drink, it's looser than your typical chocolate milk but has a distinct nutty aftertaste. It's also sweeter than I personally prefer but not atypical for chocolate milk.
