Big Gay Ice Cream Shop vanilla and chocolate mini soft serve: I took advantage of a weekday deal to get a mini cone with a mix of vanilla and chocolate soft serve, totaling around $3 after tax. The soft serve was smooth and creamy. Not overly sweet. The flavor combination was classic but well done. The cone was ordinary. Overall, a good deal and perfectly sized for a mid-day snack. 3.5/5.0

Frozen Kuhsterd champorado sundae: Hot and cold combination with warm, Filipino rice pudding and a scoop of ice cream (I selected Thai iced tea). Champorado is a chocolate rice pudding made with glutinous rice. This sundae was excellent-the ice cream was barely sweetened with a fantastic herbal flavor, and the texture of the pudding was surprising and delicious. I-Mei almond choco wafer roll: Despite its name, these are flat wafers, rolled similarly to a flat crepe. The snacks come individually wrapped. Wafer exterior is thin and flaky, while chocolate interior is not overly sweet with a sprinkle of chopped almonds.
