Sonoma Creamery Mr. Cheese O's Cheddar Cheese Snacks: Shaped like mini donuts, these crunchy cheddar-flavored snacks are made with organic quinoa and have a multigrain-texture. But, like many cheese-based snacks, they have a greasy, slick coating that makes you reach for a napkin. Slightly spiced, like a cheddar log dip. Trader Joe’s Spicy Cheese Crunchies: Similar in shape, size, and consistency to crunchy Cheetos, these spicy cheese crunches from Trader Joe's have a strong hot-sauce flavor that tastes most prominently of chili and vinegar. It reminds me a bit of their bottled Chipotle Pepper hot sauce, which I enjoy adding a few drops of on scrambled eggs, but is not something I really want to eat by the handful. Calbee Cheddar Cheese Crisps: These are puffed corn chips, similar in texture to fried shrimp chips you get from certain types of Chinese restaurants. In other words, they have a type of crispy-styrofoam-like texture rather than resembling potato chips or crisps. Overall, the cheese flavor is so-so; I definitely didn't like it enough to buy it again. 2.5/5.0

Lotte Cheese Tart with Lemon Toppo : These are straw-shaped biscuits with an icing-like filling that are popular convenience store snacks in Japan. The biscuits are a little bit smaller in circumference than Pixie Sticks, a bit wider than Pretz crackers. I purchased this box thinking it was egg tart flavored, but the tart pictured on the packaging is actually a cheese tart with a bit of lemon from the Setouchi Region of Japan. Lorenz Cheese Flavoured Monster Munch: Purchased from the international grocery Nissin World in Azabu Juban, these fried cheese snacks are from German company Lorenz and consist of ghost-shaped crisps with a lightly cheesy coating, tasting more milky and mild than most cheese-flavored snacks I've had. The pieces are slightly translucent, more styrofoam-like than cracker-like in texture. Flavor-wise, they were just so-so, more cute than they were cravable. 2.5/5.0
