163 Vietnamese Sandwich milk tea with boba: When I end up in Chinatown, I always attempt to find a decent bubble tea shop. Did I find it in this highly rated spot? Alas, no. The tea was diluted, the sugar crystals not fully dissolved such that every few sips, I'd get a crunch. The boba was even worse, with a mushy texture that was far too soft. Which leaves me with the question: is there any decent bubble tea to be found in Boston's "Chinatown"? 1.5/5.0

Kung Fu Tea honey lemonade with boba: This "less sweet" drink (at 30% sweetness) was unbalanced, with an unpleasant amount of acidity that built up over time. The real crime was the boba, though, which was so soft it was almost like chewing gum. No bite whatsoever. Quality control is not good in Chinatown. 1.0/5.0

Kung Fu Tea golden oolong milk tea with boba: Unfortunately, this tea lacked balance, with too much milk and not enough tea. I got it with half sugar, which was sweet enough. Boba texture was very good, so a shame the drink was not up to par. 3.0/5.0

Kung Fu Tea honey bubble tea: At last, good bubble tea has come to Cambridge. I was first introduced to Kung Fu Tea in NYC and was happy to find a tea spot offering varied sweetness levels (such as half sugar). There are now several locations in Boston, but the latest location has opened in Davis Square. The honey tea has no added sugar and is refreshingly and naturally sweet. The boba texture is excellent. What8ver Black milk tea with boba: A nice milky and herbal tea drink. Refreshing on a hot day. Not too sweet, but I'd personally prefer it to be a little less sweet. Boba was a bit too soft for my liking but had good flavor and decent chew. 3.0/5.0
