Berkeley Bowl Organic Gravenstein Apple Sauce: During the weeks leading up to thanksgiving, these jars of apple sauce were prominently displayed at the entrance of Berkeley Bowl. The apple sauce is sweet and textured with a nice amount of autumn spices. My one of the best apple sauces I've had, but a good value. 3.0/5.0

Bitsy's Brainfood Sweet potato oatmeal raisin cookies: I was a fan of the zucchini gingerbread carrot cookies I previously purchased from this brand, so I decided to try another flavor from their line. The alphabet-shaped cookies are crunchy and dense and have a pleasantly spiced, lightly sweetened flavor, with just a hint of vegetable at the end. No whole raisins to be found - the ingredients appear to be ground into the same mix. The Daily Crave Aged White Cheddar Lentil Chips: After the smashing success of the previous Daily Crave product I purchased (smoked Gouda), I picked up a more classic flavor at Berkeley Bowl. In this case, though, the lentil flavor dominates the more mild cheddar taste, making the chip more of a veggie snack than a cheese snack. Not as memorable or particularly worth trying. 3.0/5.0

Forager Strawberry Cashewgurt: Organic cashew-based yogurt. Beyond its unique dairy-free foundation, the flavor is fairly pedestrian - decent, but not dissimilar from other strawberry flavored yogurts. 3.0/5.0

Berkeley Bowl Fig Newtowns: Berkeley Bowl sells an assortment of fig newtown-style cereal bars in their bulk section, from apricot to raspberry to, well, figs. I sampled both the raspberry and fig cookies and prefer the tart sweetness of the raspberry to the more ordinary, but still decent, fig.
