Koikeya スコーン Barbecue Corn Snacks: These snacks are available everywhere in Japan and are like the Japanese-equivalent of crunchy Cheetos, but with bolder flavors. The barbecue flavor has more of a charred than smoky flavor and tastes more strongly of beef specifically (whereas in the US, chips taste more like the glaze you apply to meat). A solid savory flavor that is quite addictive. 3.5/5.0

Rhythm Super Food Barbecue chips: Guten-free, baked chips made with a blend of vegetables such as corn, peas, and red pepper. Make no mistake: this tastes like health food. The barbecue flavor is subtle. 2.5/5.0

Saffron Road Moroccan Barbecue Baked Lentil Chips: Crispy veggie chips that are substantially thicker yet lighter in texture than tortilla chips. Sized for dipping. The moroccan spice blend definitely lends a more distinct character than your typical barbecue flavor. It's less sweet (but still has traces of what I'm guessing is cinnamon), and has a smoky, peppery flavor (my guess is lots of paprika). Snacklins Barbecue Plant Crisps: I purchased this bag of plant-based "cracklings" from Whole Foods not knowing anything about the brand's Shark-Tank success story. The vegan crispy, puffed crisps are made with a combination of yuca, onions, and mushrooms and have a light, melt-in-your-mouth texture that is definitely the closest I've ever tasted to meat-based pork crackling (though more like the softer versions than the heavily fried crunchier ones). Comparing it to a meat product is a little unfair though, because they a... (read more) 3.5/5.0

Trader Joe's Barbecue popped Ridges: Basically TJ's version of PopChips, though their version is a little thicker and larger in diameter. The barbecue leans more sweet than savory and is an altogether familiar blend reminiscent of Barbecue Lay's. Overall, a decent snack if you want a lighter alternative to potato chips but are still craving that traditional bbq flavor. 3.0/5.0
