Baladin ginger soda: An Italian soda that is somewhat lost in translation. There is no actual ginger in this drink. Instead, it's a spiced citrus drink that tastes more bitter and floral than sweet (think orange peel and lemon). A unique flavor but it's hard to imagine what it would pair well with. Food Should Taste Good peppercorn blend brown rice crackers: After I gave the last box of brown rice crackers from FSTG a perfect 5.0, I was eager to try another flavor from the line. These peppercorn crackers are well balanced, a challenge with an ingredient as potent as peppercorns. Similar to the last I tried, the texture of the crackers was light and crunchy. Trader Joe's Greek nonfat mango yogurt: This flavor was the best of the three I tried in my last shopping trip to TJ's. I've already mentioned that I think their non-fat Greek yogurt line is too runny for strained yogurt, but this tropical flavor was well balanced and not too sweet. I would have liked it more with real pieces of fruit, though. A good value. 3.5/5.0

Trader Joe's peanut butter & jelly nonfat Greek yogurt: A unique yogurt flavor I haven't seen from another brand. The yogurt captures the essence of peanut butter and jelly in a surprisingly faithful way. So much so that I wanted a glass of milk afterward. The yogurt itself is thin and watery for Greek yogurt; not the best texture. Nonetheless, TJ's scores some points for originality here. 3.5/5.0

Trader Joe's popcorn in a pickle: This is a prime example of purchasing a novelty snack that had a glimmer of promise. Luckily, this one turned out worthwhile. The flavor is very distinctive, with a briny and herby (dill) flavor. I imagine this would go perfectly with a sandwich, burger, or hotdog. As a seasonal item, it definitely begs for a summer picnic or barbecue. Nonetheless, I enjoy eating it on its own but recognize that people who aren't big fans of pickles should steer clear. Luckily, I'm not one of them. 3.5/5.0

PopCorners Cheesy Jalapeño Chips: I've generally been a fan of Pop Corners, a mainstream popcorn chip brand whose products are flavorful without being over-seasoned.
