Siggi's blueberry yogurt: High quality, thick Icelandic skyr with a lightly sweetened but generic blueberry flavor. Very filling and high in protein, like all other Siggi's products. 3.0/5.0

Covered Bridge Montreal steak spice seasoning potato chips: Hailing from New Brunswick, Canada, these crisps taste most strongly of black pepper, though the overall flavor is less robust than I expected it to be. Onion and garlic add to the savory flavor (there isn't any sweetness, like some American steak sauces). I do like how the chips are irregular, with a browned edge from the skin of the spuds. 3.0/5.0

Bibgo Seaweed Crisps: I broke the first rule of purchasing snacks at an ethnic grocery store (buy products with the least amount of English). Still, Bibgo is a Seoul-based company, lending it some credibility. This snack is unique with its combination of normally soft seaweed with a crisp rice cracker backing. The chips are surprisingly sweet, and initially, I liked the snack a lot. The more I ate, though, the more the rice flavor dominated. I would have preferred better balance with more seaweed flavor. Kong Kee unsweetened Soyadrink: Recently, I wrote about how American soy milk is far too sweet. On a recent trip to Hmart, I purchased Soyadrink, the one soy milk you will find at any Asian grocery store. Soyadrink is the drink to get to understand the sharp contrast between an Asian and American palate. First, the drink is thinner in viscosity and actually has a soybean-like aftertaste (think plain tofu). This light flavor nonetheless lingers on your palate long after drinking. Additionally, no one bothers to fortify thes... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Chin Chin grass jelly drink: I'm a big fan of gelatin in drinks, from boba to grass jelly. For those who haven't had grass jelly before, it's not chewy like boba but soft (it's less firm than jello). Unfortunately, the drink overall is too sweet, though the grass jelly adds a slightly medicinal flavor that cuts through. Because the jelly settles to the bottom of the can, much goes to waste after the liquid runs out. A good companion, though, to spiced Asian food. 3.0/5.0

Siggi's mixed berries yogurt: I tend not to find mixed berry flavors to be very interesting, and Siggi's take is not any different than what you would expect. It's strength comes from its thick consistency and high protein content, though you can find this in other Siggis's products, and I suggest you do. 3.0/5.0
