Mooala Keto Mylk unsweetened original: I didn’t read the packaging carefully on this non dairy drink, which I picked up in the refrigerated aisle next to soy milk, and assumed it was meant to be drunk like a normal glass of milk. But the label suggests adding it to smoothies, pancakes, and puddings as a milk substitute. Consisting of nuts, seeds, and coconut milk, the Keto Mylk is thinner than regular non-dairy drinks and has a prominent coconut flavor, making it somewhat unpalatable for drinking on its own. But I used it in plac... (read more) 3.0/5.0

This soymilk has a thinner consistency and is more bean flavored than other soy milk brands, but I wished that it was thicker and more substantial. For a healthy drink, it's good, but not great. 3.0/5.0

The green tea is good by itself, but it’s nearly impossible to isolate from the savory and slightly floral lemongrass flavor. 2.5/5.0

The consistency is a bit thin but not surprisingly so for a non-dairy milk. Separately, I also tried the original (sweetened) flavor, which was overly sweet, so if you prefer lighter drinks like me, definitely go for the unsweetened. I used this almond milk to make chia seed puddings but also to drink on its own. 3.5/5.0

I’m not lactose intolerant but enjoy alternatives like soy milk and almond milk. This pea milk doesn’t taste like any milk I’ve had before. I expected it to have a fairly sweet flavor like fresh green peas, but instead it had an off putting bitter aftertaste that I would describe as what I imagine burnt hay may taste like. It’s really unpleasant to drink and I keep trying find ways t... (read more) 1.5/5.0

On a recent trip to Hmart, I purchased Soyadrink, the one soy milk you will find at any Asian grocery store. Soyadrink is the drink to get to understand the sharp contrast between an Asian and American palate. First, the drink is thinner in viscosity and actually has a soybean-like aftertaste (think plain tofu). This light flavor nonetheless lingers on your palate long after drinking. Additionally, no one bothers to fortify thes... (read more) 3.0/5.0
