Orion Injeolmi Sweet Bean Turtle Chips: A sweet chip flavored with soybean powder and sugar. Individual pieces are multi-layered and crispy, basically the same as Aerial chips if those are familiar to you. Ridged corn chips may also remind Americans of Bugles, but they are not nearly as seasoned. Lotte Kokal Corn Soup Snack: I don't know what it is about corn soup that inspires corn-soup-flavored snacks in Asia, but I'm certainly not complaining. These Korean snacks are exactly the same size and shape and Bugles – conical corn snacks that are most definitely not healthy. Cosmos Tteokbokki Rice Crackers: Korean spicy and sweet rice crackers shaped like rigatoni, with the exact opposite texture of the typically soft and chewy cylindrical rice cakes. Tastes of fermented gochujang chili paste, which is a staple in most Korean cooking so will taste familiar if you enjoy eating Korean stews. More sweet than savory but has a mildly spicy aftertaste. Koh Kae Spicy Hot Pot Peanuts Mala: Purchased from HMart in Midtown, this can of peanuts has a uniquely spiced chili flavor that actually does taste similar to a schezuan-style hot pot. It’s savory but not overly spicy, with just enough heat. The roasted peanuts themselves were pretty ordinary, but the seasoning makes them worth trying. 3.0/5.0
