Better Made Special Barbecue flavored potato chips: This brand of chips was founded in Detroit, which is where I ate a bag during a conference snack break. The chips are thin and slightly crispy but mostly saturated with oil. Seasoned with a sweet tangy vinegar-based powder, it has all the classic flavorings of a bbq chip. Montebourg Petit Suisse Strawberry, Apricot, and Raspberry fruit flavored cheese: Was surprised to find this yogurt packaging in the cheese aisle at Whole Foods only to discover that it is, in fact, cheese. Petit Suisse is a mild and creamy cheese with an almost aerated texture, like a cross between whipped cream and yogurt. Chester's Cheese flavored Puffcorn: Long gone are the days when Chester the Cheetah starred in his own video game (see Too Cool to Fool, NES 1992). While he's still featured prominently on Cheetos packaging, his name is a relic of 90s/00s commercial spots of my childhood. I Heart Keenwah Aged Cheddar flavored quinoa puffs: Cheese puffs that substitute quinoa for corn and thus have a more substantial amount of protein (5g). About the size of a quarter, these crunchy bites have a flavor strongly reminiscent of aged cheddar boxed mac and cheese powder (the nice Amy's kind, not Kraft). Ends with a punchy peppercorn kick. Ruger Chocolate Flavored Wafers: Purchased from the vending machine at work, this two-serving pack of wafers is surprisingly good. Packaged in Willy-Wonka gold foil, the wafers have a great crispy texture, and the amount of chocolate feels generous. Not a very healthy snack, but certainly one of the better vending machine options out there. 3.5/5.0
