Choripdong Digestive Cream Sand Biscuit: Individually wrapped Korean sandwich cookies with a mildly sweet, crumbly biscuit flavored with sesame seeds and a light cream filling. I like how it's not crunchy and thick like many digestives, and the snack overall feels mostly healthful although it's a dessert. 3.5/5.0

Newman's Own Ginger O's: Ginger sandwich creme cookies that are nicely spiced and generally very good. Made with organic flour and sugar. Ginger flavor really comes through. Would purchase again (a rarity for me). 4.0/5.0

Trader Joe's speculoos cookies: Technically, I already reviewed this snack, but it was back in the day when I didn't give numerical scores. Speculoos is a type of spiced European biscuit commonly made with brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. The TJ's version is sweet and has a good level of spice. They make you feel like it's the holidays. Overall, a good value snack. 3.5/5.0

Field Day organic Wildlife Friends vanilla cookies: These are the type of cookies I would buy for my (future) children. The cookies are larger than most, with cute animal shapes (especially the polar bear), and they are just sweet enough. A good, wholesome snack. 3.5/5.0

Hontaka Ecorce : This Japanese line of cookies was first established in 1887 and is available in giftstores all around Japan. According to their website (translated to English via Google Translate), the cookie is made of just a few simple ingredients: flour, sugar, oil and fat, and eggs. What makes it unique is the thin and flaky layers, which are almost like a cross between a crepe and mille-feuille (though it's completely dry). Its buttery taste and precisely thin layers, along with its thoughtful packagin... (read more) 4.5/5.0
