The Little Kernel White cheddar popcorn: I had big hopes for Little Kernel, with its cute packaging and promise of kernel-free popcorn snacking. Unfortunately, while the fat content is quite high, I found the cheese flavor underwhelming and borderline bland. The kernels were small, though. 2.5/5.0

Beanitos Better cheddar and sour cream pinto bean chips: High fiber + protein tortilla chips made of bean (instead of corn). They have a more crumbly texture than your typical chip and a stronger flavor. Together, with cheddar and sour cream, I expected it to taste like a bean dip, but it was strangely muddled and unbalanced. Do not recommend. 2.5/5.0

Chester's Cheese flavored Puffcorn: Long gone are the days when Chester the Cheetah starred in his own video game (see Too Cool to Fool, NES 1992). While he's still featured prominently on Cheetos packaging, his name is a relic of 90s/00s commercial spots of my childhood. A quick search on YouTube for Cheetos ads reveals a shift away from pure animation to showing real people interacting with a CGI Chester. I Heart Keenwah Aged Cheddar flavored quinoa puffs: Cheese puffs that substitute quinoa for corn and thus have a more substantial amount of protein (5g). About the size of a quarter, these crunchy bites have a flavor strongly reminiscent of aged cheddar boxed mac and cheese powder (the nice Amy's kind, not Kraft). Ends with a punchy peppercorn kick.
