Firebrand Croissant with blackberries: Available at Asha Tea House in Berkeley, this flaky croissant has a cream-cheese spread and fresh blackberries. I found it to be surprisingly tasty, even at the end of the day after it’s likely been sitting out for a while. The cheese spread was slightly seasoned so the pastry overall wasn’t too sweet. Glad to know that Asha has quality food options on top of their teas! 4.0/5.0

Gregoire Homemade granola with yogurt: One of the breakfast items offered at the excellent takeaway restaurant Gregoire in Berkeley is yogurt (Fage, I believe) served with homemade granola. Buttery, sweet, crunchy, and chewy, the granola contains a mix of toasted oats, nuts, seeds, and dried berries. It's very well balanced and something I wish I could make at home but probably would never take the time to do, which is why I especially appreciate it when others do it right! 4.0/5.0

Happy lemon Jasmine lemon slush: This drink was about as good as this picture, which is to say not very good. Even at 25% sugar, it was overly sweet, and while it was supposed to have jasmine tea, it did not taste of anything but lemon. Do not recommend this particular drink at the normally solid Happy Lemon. 2.5/5.0

Happy Lemon Mango Yakult Smoothie with Boba: My favorite Taiwanese bubble tea chain made its way to Berkeley, located dangerously close to the Downtown Berkeley BART station. This weekend, they're celebrating their opening by offering a buy-one-get-one-free special, which has led to insane lines from Berkeley students. Happy Lemon Lemon black tea: Textbook mediocre black tea. Tastes like Lipton, and it probably is. On the plus side, the drinks contains an entire lemon, sliced into wedges. But the overall effect is black tea I can easily make at home. Good thing it was free (from the buy one get on free promotion during Happy Lemon’s opening weekend in Berkeley). 2.0/5.0

Happy Lemon Milk tea with pudding: An all around solid milk tea. Well balanced, and the textures of the pudding is good too. Happy to have Happy Lemon close to home. 3.5/5.0
