Nature’s Path Love Crunch dark chocolate and red berries granola: For those who enjoy “indulgent” granola, this combination of chocolate-flavored granola, dark chocolate bits, and pieces of freeze dried raspberries and strawberries will be a treat. It turns your granola into chocolate milk and is fun to eat out of the bag. I purchased it on sale at Berkeley Bowl and thought it was one of the better granola mixes I’ve had. 3.5/5.0

New City Microcreamery Fennel and pistachio ice cream: At a little over $4, this kiddie scoop from Cambridge ice cream shop New City Microcreamery was fairly micro-sized, but large enough to get a good sense of the quality. The ice cream, made with liquid nitrogen, has a smooth consistency. I was hoping for more aniseed licorice flavor from the fennel, but it mostly tasted like a solid milk base with bits of pistachio, though there was a little something extra to the aftertaste that told you it wasn't just straight-up vanilla. Newman's Own Mint Chocolate Newman O's Cookies: Since I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of Newman Own's ginger sandwich cremes, I decided to get an alternative flavor. The mint flavor is similarly good, with a prominent mint flavor and hearty chocolate cookies. I like leaving the bag open so that the cookies get a little softer and less crumbly. 3.5/5.0

Nezu No Pan Apple Ginger Bread: A warming mix of apple and ginger that reminds me of autumn back home. The ginger is pleasantly spicy and candied, and the bread is spongy and moist. Eating these mini loaves maes me feel like a giant, as they're about the size of bread you might see in a kitchen playset for kids. I liked this flavor but I would rate it as third behind the mugwort and lemon poppy bread I had tried previously, probably because the apple and ginger flavor combination is not quite as unique. 3.5/5.0

Nice Choice Egg Soft Flour Cake: With a quintessentially lost-in-translation Chinese name, this brand of sachima is a great deal. The cakes are very substantial (you could share one with a friend) and have a satisfying chewy consistency. For those who have not had sachima before, it's a rectangular Chiense treat with fried dough and melted rock sugar that lends a chewy and slightly crispy texture.
