Vintage Italia Pasta Bowtie Meatball Parm baked puffed snack: Large bowtie-shaped crisps with a thin shell and hollow interior, this snack is the only one I know currently on the market that resembles 3D Doritos. They are, however, less substantial than their Frito Lay predecessor, which also means the bag must be handled very carefully to avoid a bag of scraps. Tangy, sweet tomato flavor with a good amount of Italian herbs and pepper seasoning. A more intense version of pizza Goldfish crackers. 3.0/5.0

Vitamin Water refresh: Tropical flavor that resembles a Capri Sun juice pouch. Very sweet-would like more with half the amount of sugar. Contains antioxidants and a day's worth of vitamins C and B. Good in small doses. 3.0/5.0

Vive la Tarte Almond croissant : I had high expectations after having the excellent orange blossom croissant from Vive la Tarte in SF, but this almond croissant was less successful for a few reasons. The almond paste filling, while substantial, was wet enough to render the pastry a bit soggy, and the filling combined with the powdered sugar was very sweet overall. Volcano Tea House White peach oolong tea with boba: At 25% sweetness, this herbal oolong tea had a light and refreshing white peach flavor, though it did taste syrup-y. The boba was quite good-neither overly chewy or soft and just a tad sweet. Good enough that I would consider revisiting this Sawtelle-based bubble tea shop in the future. 3.0/5.0

Walkers Monster Munch: I saw a Snack Masters episode where British chefs tried to replicate the texture and flavor of the pickled onion Monster Munch snack, a baked corn snack shaped as monster paws with a punchy seasoned coating. You can get these at any convenience store in London. Apparently it comes down to the cooking process, although it doesn't seem particularly distinctive in taste or texture.
