Beanitos Better cheddar and sour cream pinto bean chips: High fiber + protein tortilla chips made of bean (instead of corn). They have a more crumbly texture than your typical chip and a stronger flavor. Together, with cheddar and sour cream, I expected it to taste like a bean dip, but it was strangely muddled and unbalanced. Do not recommend. 2.5/5.0

Thinly sliced lotus root is deep fried and lightly tossed with nori, cayenne, and sesame. Oil saturates the rings, leaving your fingers coated in a thin layer of grease and speckles of seaweed. No serving size indicated on the packaging, but they lasted two days at work. 3.5/5.0

Chips have great texture and are crunchy and light. Only downside is the small 4-portion bag size. Looking forward to trying other flavors. Purchased from Whole Foods. 4.0/5.0

While I liked the sharp cheddar powdered flavoring that coats the chips, the combination of vegetable with cheese is a little odd and doesn’t quite come together. Purchased from Whole Foods. 3.0/5.0

Supposedly also contains broccoli, spinach, and peas but achieves an almost identical salty, creamy onion flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture. Purchased at the Park Slope Food Coop. 3.5/5.0
