Pringles Consomme potato crisps: These are a Japanese exclusive flavor of Pringles, retaining much of the familiar taste and texture of the American classic but with an addictive onion soup-type taste. It's just as flavor-saturated as the American type and generally very tasty as far as junk food goes. Would recommend trying them if you come to Japan! 3.5/5.0

Ruffles Sabor a jamon potato chips: Purchased from a vending machine at the Madrid airport duurng a layover, these ham-flavored potato chips look like regular Ruffles, with an invisible but potently salty seasoning. Texturally, the chips are just like any other Ruffles; ridged, crispy, and more thickly cut than Lay's. But they tasted unlike any other flavor I've had: meaty and slightly smoked, but mostly tasting of MSG. Similar in intensity to ramen packet seasoning. 3.0/5.0

Samboy Atomic Tomato potato chips: This proudly Australian brand of ridged potato chips is a vending machine staple. I purchased them to use up a few coins before leaving the country. The atomic tomato flavor turns out to be ketchup with a prominent vinegar taste. The ridges are not as dense as American ridged chips like Ruffles. Overall, I found the chips to be surprisingly addicting though certainly not good for you. 3.0/5.0

Savoursmiths Bubbly and serrano chilli potato chips: Imported potato chips from the UK that are flavored with chardonnay and chili powder, they taste remarkably like champagne mixed with salt and vinegar and a bit of heat. The chips are very thin and crispy, texturally like traditional potato chips (as opposed to crunchy kettle chips). Sweet Box Japanese black beef potato chips: A common potato-based junk food I see here in Japan but not in the states is french-fry-shaped chips, thickly cut like the British type you get with fish and chips but crunchy: extruded fried potato sticks.
