GoodBelly tropical green flavor probiotic drink: I really liked the cranberry watermelon flavor of this brand so I decided to purchase another kind to try. Unfortunately, this one is as bad as the other was good. The juice contains fruit purພ such as banana, pear, and mango and greens such as spinach, alfalfa, and parsley. The flavor is not balanced and somehow manages to recreate the taste of aspartame with all natural ingredients. It's also overly sweet, perhaps to cover up the flavor of the vegetables. The result is a drink that neither... (read more) 1.5/5.0

Hot Kid Shelly Senbei Seaweed Flavor Rice Cracker: I grew up eating an assortment of Hot Kid rice cracker offerings, which I strongly believe are some of the best in terms of taste and value. This nori-flavored rice snack was new to me and did not disappoint. Each individually wrapped package contains two sizable rice crackers, at about 3.5" in diameter. A soy glaze coats the crackers, and strips of seaweed add to the savory flavor. One aspect I felt was missing was the sweetness you tend to get with other Hot Kid snacks, but I would sti... Lay's Grilled Squid Flavor Potato Chips: Purchased at HMart, these substantially ridged potato chips feature a sweet and savory flavor that's a little smoky and a lot of umami. Akin to a sweet teriyaki glaze. I especially liked the texture of the ridges, whose valleys and mountains are about 3x as deep as Ruffles. Worth a try if you're into seafood flavored snacks. 3.5/5.0

Lonely God Japanese Seaweed Flavor Potato Chips: A quintessential Chinese snack whose name is likely the result of a mistranslation, these auger-shaped potato snacks are about 1.5 larger than Frito flavor twists and slightly softer in texture. They're coated in a savory sweet seaweed powder. Purchased from Hong Kong Supermarket, they're one of the many examples of Asian snacks commonly found in 7-11s in Taiwan, but difficult to find in America. Overall, I wish the snack were crispier, and they are sweeter than I prefer for a savory snac... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Lotte Koala March Shortcake Flavor: Koala March is one of those brands that many Asian people are familiar with in the states – I've seen it in groceries stores of all types, including Chinese (99 Ranch), Korean (H-Mart), and Japanese (Nijiya). I grew up eating the strawberry flavored ones, and I was curious how this limited edition shortcake flavor, purchased from Aeon in Tokyo, would compare. Like all Koala March, it features Koala-shaped biscuits with a solid icing filling - this one tasted of a neutral cream filing, like... (read more) 3.0/5.0

Mini Takis Zombie Nitro Flavor: Of all the snacks in my first #munchpak, I was most anxious about trying this one. First, I've rarely seen this brand outside of convenience stores and gas stations. Next, the green color of the \"zombie\" themed flavor screams artificial. But I found myself pleasantly surprised that the snack wasn't actually bad. The chips texturally are like rolled up Fritos, making them pretty dense. What makes the snack stand out is its habanero and cucumber flavor combo, which is reminiscent of green s...
