Cones cantaloupe gelato: Cones is a small ice cream shop on Bleeker St. in the West Village specializing in house-made flavors both classic and unique. The cantaloupe sorbet was superb, with a particularly concentrated melon flavor that still felt light and refreshing. Had small bits of fresh fruit. Perfect amount of sugar. Nature's Path Sunrise Crunchy honey cereal: Can't decide if you want corn flakes, crisped rice, or puffed corn cereal? This has all three and more with flax, quinoa, and other wholesome ingredients. Very good at keeping its crunchy texture in milk, level of sweetness is spot on. One of the best breakfast cereals I've had in recent memory. 4.5/5.0

La Farine frangipane: Excellent pastry. Flaky crust topped with almonds. Inside is fluffy and light. Center has lightly sweetened almond paste. Some parts of the exterior are dark, but they're caramelized rather than burnt. Very sizable and filling for the price ($2.95). 4.5/5.0
