Sweetgreens Iced Chai: Up to this point, I had been resistant to the ~$15 salads at Sweetgreens, but after returning to Berkeley after traveling, I often crave fresh fruit and vegetables. I caved in and stopped by Sweetgreens for a salad (which was actually filling and quite tasty) and purchased a cup of iced chai to accompany my greens. Sweetheart Cafe Jasmine milk tea with boba: Sweetheart Cafe is a small bubble tea shop on Durant right on the south edge of UC Berkeley's main campus. The main draw to this inexpensive mom and pop shop is their boba, which as far as I'm concerned is unrivaled in the Bay Area for its chewiness and overall consistency. The Jasmine milk tea that I purchased alongside the boba had an identifiable Jasmine tea flavor but was more milk than tea. Sweet Scoops Candied ginger frozen yogurt: Likely the creamiest frozen yogurt I've had. You can definitely tell it's yogurt and not ice cream, but it's smooth and satisfying nonetheless. Unfortunately, the frozen yogurt overall is too sweet. A shame since it doesn't need extra sweetening as each mouthful already has several pieces of candied ginger. I would have preferred that the candied ginger were harder to add texture. Nice vanilla undertones. If there were less sugar, this would be a winner. 3.5/5.0

Tao Kae Noi seafood flavored crispy seaweed: I've become pretty fond of this line of seaweed snacks: each piece of seaweed has a unique, crispy texture, but it's still thin so it feels like a light snack. The seafood flavor contains a mix of cuttlefish, shrimp, and crab. Definitely distinctly seafood in a sort of traditional Asian way, but I like it. Too bad each bag only had 2 servings. 3.5/5.0

Tao Kae Noi kimchi flavored Super Crisp: This is the last of the Tao Kae Noi line of grilled seaweed snacks I had yet to try from my local Hmart. The umami-rich flavor has a great balance of savory and sweet. The spicy kimchi taste builds and lingers. A uniquely crispy and substantial seaweed snack. 3.5/5.0

Tao Kai Noi Tom Yum Goong seaweed snack: AAn umami bomb. Long strips of crispy seaweed (dehydrated?) with prominent lime and tomato flavor. Contains shrimp powder. On the salty side, but otherwise surprisingly addictive. Too bad the bag only has 2 servings. From Thailand. 3.5/5.0
