Blue Bottle New Orleans Cold Brew: I don't drink coffee at all, but I know that San Franciscans can be snobs when it comes to that sort of thing. I brought my parents to Blue Bottle, a local favorite, so they could see for themselves and then decided to get an iced coffee for myself to try. The coffee was honestly a bit watered down compared to what I was expecting, though it wasn't overly sweet or milky. I got a headache after drinking the entire cup – though this doesn't affect the score. 3.0/5.0

Cheeseboard Daily special muffin: On my latest visit, Cheeseboard's daily special contained citrus and ginger, with a sharp and sweet orange flavor. Batter was moist. Good baked treat, though not as special as some of the other items in stock. 3.0/5.0

Trader Joe's Joe Joe's 'n Cream Ice Cream: Available year round, Trader Joe's version of cookies and cream tastes very much like any other cookies and cream ice cream you might buy, with a classic combination of vanilla ice cream and chocolate cookies. It likely uses full-fat milk (as the amount of saturated fat is high) and has generous chunks of softened chocolate crumbs throughout. C2O Coconut Water: Despite its clip-art labeling, this all-natural coconut water is as good as most, with a slightly sweet taste (there is no added sugar). Comes in a large 2-serving can. Refreshing. 3.0/5.0

Vintage Italia Pasta Bowtie Meatball Parm baked puffed snack: Large bowtie-shaped crisps with a thin shell and hollow interior, this snack is the only one I know currently on the market that resembles 3D Doritos. They are, however, less substantial than their Frito Lay predecessor, which also means the bag must be handled very carefully to avoid a bag of scraps. Tangy, sweet tomato flavor with a good amount of Italian herbs and pepper seasoning. A more intense version of pizza Goldfish crackers. 3.0/5.0

Asha Tea Hot ginger tea with goji berries: A mild but warming cup of ginger tea with fresh goji berries that add interest and sharpness. Two slices of very strong ginger top the beverage. I only wish they imparted more of their flavor. 3.0/5.0
