Bubble Tease Milk tea with boba: Toronto has some of the highest concentration of bubble tea shops that I’ve witnessed. This classic black milk tea from Bubble Tease had a decent sweet and slightly herbal flavor. The boba was ok - a bit too soft and without flavor. 3.0/5.0

Bubble Tea Share Time Thai iced tea slushie: I went to the dentist yesterday and didn’t have any new cavities, which is quite a feat given the existence of this blog. Also, it’s getting hot in Berkeley. To celebrate, I got a Thai Iced Tea “slushie” with boba from Share Tea, a bubble tea shop on Shattuck in Berkeley a few blocks away from downtown. Bucha Belly Lemon Ginger Organic Raw Kombucha: Bucha Belly is yet another Seattle based kombucha brand, offering subscription deliveries. I came across this brand at a local restaurant. Unfortunately, while the flavor was relatively clean, the ginger was lacking in potency, and it tasted mostly of lemon. Overall, it wasn't a bad drink, but it wasn't a particularly notable one. 3.0/5.0

C2O Coconut Water: Despite its clip-art labeling, this all-natural coconut water is as good as most, with a slightly sweet taste (there is no added sugar). Comes in a large 2-serving can. Refreshing. 3.0/5.0

Calbee Yuzu and black pepper shrimp chips: I grew up eating MSG-laden Calbee shrimp crackers, so it was neat to see they are celebrating 50 years. This is the first time I tried anything outside their original flavor. The crispy crackers had a tangy slightly sour seasoning that was more interesting than tasty. Still, adding a yuzu flavor to their line seems appropriate and on trend; maybe this will help them reach 50 more years. 3.0/5.0
