Sofra Baklava: To be fair, I ate this pastry after it had been sitting out for about an hour or so. Even so, I was shocked by how sickeningly sweet the honey was, which you can see seeping from the edges of the pastry. The one saving grace was the pistachios, which were slightly candied and very good. Otherwise, I would pass on this dessert. 2.5/5.0

Sonoma Creamery Mr. Cheese O's Cheddar Cheese Snacks: Shaped like mini donuts, these crunchy cheddar-flavored snacks are made with organic quinoa and have a multigrain-texture. But, like many cheese-based snacks, they have a greasy, slick coating that makes you reach for a napkin. Slightly spiced, like a cheddar log dip. Distinct, but not in a way that would make me purchase them again. 2.5/5.0

Spring Home peanut flavored glutinous rice balls: Small, frozen rice balls with a peanut filling consisting of a thick paste and bits of peanuts. The texture of the peanut filling is not very good, and it gets stuck in your teeth. Not too sweet (contains 4g of sugar per serving). 2.5/5.0

State Bird Seed Almond Rosemary Puffed Quinoa, Seeds, Almonds & Herbs: State Bird Provisions and The Progress are two restaurants I always recommend to people asking me where they should eat in San Francisco. I heard that the chefs behind the restaurants came out with a line of snacks and fortuitously found them stocked at Berkeley Bowl West. There was only one flavor on the shelf when I went, an almond and rosemary savory "granola" combining quinoa and sunflower seeds. Steap Lychee Love Tea: I’ve been searching for a quality bubble tea shop in Chinatown, San Francisco and tried this modern bubble tea spot on my most recent visit. Steap prides themselves on highly customizable fruit and herbal teas. The lychee love drink is a jasmine and green tea mix containing lychee jelly (I also ordered boba as an add-in).
