Trader Joe's Caramel ginger popcorn: A fresh spin on caramel popcorn, TJ's caramel ginger popcorn has a solid spiced flavor that you immediately identify as ginger. Unfortunately, it is far too sweet, with each piece coated in a thick sheen of buttery sugar. While popcorn is generally a healthier snack option, this one is far from it. Still, if you like ginger, chances are you will like this snack, as long as you don't eat too much in one sitting. 3.0/5.0

Should anyone be charging $5 for a 16oz bottle of coconut water? Invo thinks that it can, but I disagree. I purchased this bottle as an alternative to a can of diet soda from my office's Byte vending machine. The drink has a clean coconut water flavor that is not so different than any other coconut water, at the end of the day. 2.5/5.0

Strawberry flavor was concentrated, but the drink overall was incredibly sweet and not particularly acidic. I had to consume it in small sips for it to be palatable. 2.5/5.0

Since I moved to Berkeley, I've enjoyed eating the Berkeley Bowl fig cereal bars fairly regularly, so I don't usually buy packaged fig bars anymore. This product was on sale, though, and given that it was a local brand, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, the filling was overly dense and far too sweet, while the cookie was too crumbly and a little bit dry. I have yet to find a good snack with the word "great tasting" on the labe... Their Spicy Thai Chili-flavored quinoa chips are the most adventurous I've seen from their line. While I don't normally like quinoa, it lends only a small amount of flavor (that is virtually indistinguishable from other "veggie" chips), and the sweet-and-spicy seasoning is surprisingly tas... Sometimes it's a fresh, unexpected flavor combination, while other times it's just the most perfectly executed version of something more familiar. This Kimino sparking yuzu drink falls in the latter category. The small bottle is perfectly sized for a single serving. The bottom contains sediments of yuzu rind (they utilize the entire fruit to make the bevera... (read more) 5.0/5.0
