Morgenstern’s Passion fruit sorbet with chocolate magic shell: Last few days to get Morgenstern’s October Sorbae: passion fruit sorbet covered with their homemade chocolate “magic shell.” The sorbet didn’t need the chocolate at all, in my opinion, as the passion fruit is sharp and fresh on its own. 3.5/5.0

Il laboratorio del gelato Plum and grape sorbet: Whenever I'm in LES, I can't help but stop by this outstanding gelato shop, with its endless array of cycling seasonal flavors. The plum and grape were super concentrated, tasting exactly like those ingredients in their freshest form. The texture could have been better (this time, the grape was a bit icy); nonetheless, I've never had anything but solid fresh sorbet from this NYC mainstay. 4.0/5.0

Kekou Gelato House Soursop and osmanthus plum berry sorbets: Specializing in Asian flavors ranging from milk tea to peanut sesame, Kekou is a Toronto-based ice cream shop with a strong anti-stabilizer philosophy. This means all of their gelato and sorbets are not made with any additives or stabilizers to maintain their consistency. As a result, their sorbets are not entirely smooth, with some small ice chunks throughout. Full Tilt Ice Cream Mango Strawberry Sorbet: Part ice cream shop, part arcade, Full Tilt is a chain of family friendly shops located in various parts of Seattle. Along with their colorful assortment of flavors is their equally colorful staff (many heavily pierced and tattooed, at least at the time of my visit to the Ballard location). The texture of the mango strawberry sorbet I purchased could have been smoother, but the flavor combination was unique, although a bit sweet. Morgenstern's Mixed berry sorbet: Mixed berry sorbet that seems like it was crafted just for my tastes: barely sweetened, very tart, and perfectly smooth, with a dollop of cream, all topped with a sprinkling of crumble for texture. Clean raspberry and blueberry flavor. A rare snack I can find no fault with. Part of Morgensterns monthly sorbae flavor rotation. Available for the month of July. 5.0/5.0

Quenelle Strawberry Rhubarb Sorbet: Three years ago, you took a detour to Burbank to check out a humble ice cream shop opened by a former pastry chef with a Michelin-starred pedigree. There, your palate was expanded, with singular flavors like ras el hanout. You were stunned that ice cream could be so good: so creamy and well balanced, yet challenging and complex.
