Morgenstern's Mixed berry sorbet: Mixed berry sorbet that seems like it was crafted just for my tastes: barely sweetened, very tart, and perfectly smooth, with a dollop of cream, all topped with a sprinkling of crumble for texture. Clean raspberry and blueberry flavor. A rare snack I can find no fault with. Part of Morgensterns monthly sorbae flavor rotation. Available for the month of July. 5.0/5.0

Chikalicious green apple sorbet: Exceptionally refreshing and remarkably smooth sorbet speckled with bits of green apple. Clean flavor that's perfectly sweetened. A bit pricy for the size, but well worth it. 4.5/5.0

Revival Ice Cream Pear sorbet: Ultra-creative yet accessible homemade ice cream from a James-Beard nominated pastry chef. Based in Monterey, Revival has about a dozen seasonal flavors, the most popular of which is one called the Beesknees, an ice cream studded with bits of honeycomb, broken into small enough pieces to add texture (both crunchy and soft). Tartine Manufactory Blood orange sorbet and cardamom soft serve: Tartine Manufactory closes its bakery section, including soft serve, for dinner service, but if you ask nicely, they will serve it (as I found out last night). This swirl of blood orange and cardamom was one of the best things I ate all year, with potently spiced cardamom and sharp citrus. The texture was smooth and consistent. Wanderlust Creamery Green apple wasabi sorbet and yuzu cheesecake ice cream: Located on Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village (LA), Wanderlust Creamery offers flavors inspired by locations around the world. Their unusual flavors made it very difficult to pick just two, but I went with their green apple and wasabi sorbet along with yuzu cheesecake.
