Ohsung Shrimp Pop: Shrimp flavored crackers that are tasty but very salty after a few handfuls. Definitely laden with MSG but full of umami flavor. 3.0/5.0

Shirafuji Seika Ika mirin age: To mark the occasion of reaching 1,000 tasty snacks, I went to Tokyo Fish Market to purchase Japanese snacks. I purposely picked two bags without any English on the packaging. The first was a squid-flavored rice cracker which, according to the ingredients, contains shrimp, cuttlefish, and octopus. Combining these seafood flavors with a generous amount of MSG leads to a umami-rich snack. The irregularly shaped crackers have a deep orange color and a shiny coating. Very satisfying and tasty. 3.5/5.0

Taiwan Master Bear shrimp crackers: Slightly more dense than the seafood crackers you might get with chinese takeout, but still has a styrofoam-like texture. Very little flavor. 1.5/5.0

Tao Kai Noi Tom Yum Goong seaweed snack: AAn umami bomb. Long strips of crispy seaweed (dehydrated?) with prominent lime and tomato flavor. Contains shrimp powder. On the salty side, but otherwise surprisingly addictive. Too bad the bag only has 2 servings. From Thailand. 3.5/5.0
