Icee popping candy: People who know me know I'm not into movies. But the one thing I did love about movies as a kid was having an excuse to get an Icee, the horrendously sweet, artificially flavored slushie that turned your mouth blue. My latest munchpak contained an assortment of pop-rocks-style Icee candies with an accompanying lollipop, presumably to be eaten like Fundip. I skipped the lollipop and had each flavor individually. Poland Spring raspberry lime sparkling water: Surprisingly good mainstream drink. Very clear fruit and citrus flavor that doesn't leave a salty aftertaste like a lot of seltzer. Affordable and widely available. Highly recommended. 4.0/5.0

Rogue Voodoo Doughnuts pretzel, raspberry, and chocolate ale: I generally don't drink beer, but I sampled this one in the name of snacks. This ale was inspired by a flavored doughnut from the Voodoo Doughnuts shops in Portland. The chocolate and raspberry flavor came through in the finish, and perhaps the pretzel flavor was captured in the earlier savory notes. Not something I can imagine drinking a full cup, but interesting.

Ciao Bella raspberry sorbetto: I purchase this on sale, where it had clearly been left in the freezer a little too long (it was covered in ice). The sorbet at the top of the container was icier than I would expect, but I suspect that's from the way it was previously frozen. Past that, the sorbet was good, with a very concentrated raspberry flavor. Overall, it was very sweet, but in small servings, it was refreshing. 3.5/5.0
