Sound Sparkling peach and ginger white tea: I bought this bottle of white tea from Perelandra Natural Food Center in Brooklyn. As a fan of both peach and ginger, as well as sparkling versions of normally-not-sparkling beverages, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the flavor is weak and diluted, and the carbonation doesn’t hold up for long after the bottle is opened (on the order of 5 minutes). Would not purchase again. 2.0/5.0

Sprouted Go Raw Banana Bread Sprouted Bar: Recently, my office has started getting free snacks / advertising from various organic energy bar companies. This one from Sprouted contains four ingredients: flaxseed, banana, coconut, and dates. It appears sizable but is in fact very thin, perhaps giving off an illusion of substance or value. Steaz Peach green tea: At this year’s annual Mystery Hunt puzzle competition, my team was stationed close to the 26-100 lecture hall and its cluster of 6 vending machines. This tall can of Steaz came from the machine of non-Coca-Cola-owned beverages selling alternative caffeinated energy drinks. I was looking for a drink to get me through several more hours without the side effect of crashing, and for this, the can did its job-I felt alert and invigorated but not jittery. Stonyfield pomegranate, raspberry, and acai fat-free yogurt: The consistency is oddly sticky but has a good, neutral flavor. The berry mix is nondescript-I can't say I taste any of the berries individually. But at least the flavoring is not overly sweet. 3.0/5.0

Stonyfield Oh My Yog! gingered pear yogurt: A triple layer of whole milk cream, yogurt with honey, and a fruit base with cubes of pear. More of a parfait than a yogurt. Has a good amount of sugar (28g) but doesn't taste as sweet. Pear flavor is very good and slightly tart. Packaging is interesting: clear plastic container with a printer label on the interior. You can read it when you finish the yogurt. The story inside is a bit random but I'll forgive that. 4.0/5.0
