Tic Tac Peach Lemonade mixers: A few weeks ago, after a long flight of keeping my mouth shut, I was desperate to purchase some mints after I landed. Due to my fatigue and the lack of better options, I purchased a box of Tic Tacs, I brand I haven't had for about a decade. Corner of Vermont lemonade with maple syrup: Corner of Vermont is a small shop in Brooklyn selling Vermont maple syrup and other specialty items as well as maple-syrup enhanced dishes including hot dogs and ice cream. I ordered their lemonade with maple syrup and found it to be a perfectly balanced drink. The acidity level was very nicely paired with a mild sweetness from the maple syrup, which, despite my concerns, did not overwhelm. Served cold, it is an entirely satisfying summer drink. 4.5/5.0

Kung Fu Tea honey lemonade with boba: This "less sweet" drink (at 30% sweetness) was unbalanced, with an unpleasant amount of acidity that built up over time. The real crime was the boba, though, which was so soft it was almost like chewing gum. No bite whatsoever. Quality control is not good in Chinatown. 1.0/5.0

Gourmet Lemonade: Bottled lemonade from Carlson Orchards in Harvard, MA. Very light, somewhat diluted lemonade that's still very refreshing. Has a good amount of sugar (38g in the whole bottle) but is generally balanced. Great for hot summer days. 3.5/5.0
