Real Coco Organic coconut water: I somehow managed to get the stomach flu, so to supplement a box of saltines, I purchased some electrolyte-rich beverages. The first was this carton of organic coconut water, which had a pleasantly neutral taste. It’s just sweet enough, and has a thirst quenching, clean flavor. Reem’s Hibiscus Rose Cooler: Finally made it to Reem’s, the middle eastern cafe in Fruitvale (Oakland) specializing in housemade flatbread. To accompany the robust za’atar-spiced flatbread, I got a cup of refreshing and sharp hibiscus rose cooler, a purple-maroon colored drink that tasted of an amped-up floral pomegranate juice. Well balanced and perfectly complementary, it rounded out a complete, delicious meal at Reem’s. 4.0/5.0

Rhythm 'n Wraps sorrel 'n lime punch: Purchased at the Rhythm 'n Wraps food truck outside the Harvard science center, this refreshing drink is just sweet enough, with a pleasantly spiced flavor (I was told it had ginger in it). It comes with no ice, but I do wish there was just a little since it seems like it's best cold. A great accompaniment to the Spicy Gangsta Wrap. 3.5/5.0

Ring Tofu Donuts Yuzu Lemonade: I was surprised at how overly sweet this housemade yuzu lemonade was given the light, barely sweetened flavor of Ring Tofu’s donuts. It reminded me of a slightly more tart version of korean citron tea. Definitely stick to the Donuts. 2.5/5.0
